GOODNIGHT MACAROON OTK BOOTS REVIEW
Hello all! Since last fall, I've been on the hunt for a good pair of over the knee boots that DON'T slide down! After some searching, I found a good pair that I wanted to give a quick review on! Especially since they're 30% off right now (use code 'SNOW30').
So last year, I first tried a pair of Dolce Vita's that even tied around the top. They slid down horribly on me and I ended up selling them. Next, I tried a pair from Target that are actually pretty decent! I still wear them occasionally. Then, this fall, I finally bought the infamous Goodnight Macaroon OTK boots that I've seen all over instagram! I decided to give them a go because I love how slimming they seem to be on everyone that wears them! The heel height also looked pretty comfortable, so when I saw them on sale, I bit the bullet.
All reviews say to size up half a size. For example, I wear an 8, which is a size 38. That means I need to size up and order a 39. Dummy me played it too safe and ordered a 40, but I should have listened and only went half a size up (and ordered a 39)! So - listen to the reviews! Besides my mistake, I truly love these boots! They slouch just a little bit, but you can't expect them to stay up perfectly.. you have to bend your knees to walk and sit down!
Also, I know that everyone's legs are shaped differently, so I'll list my measurements to help! These boots are stretchy, by the way! The widest part of my calf is about 14" and the part of my thigh where the top of the boots hit is about 18".
I chose the taupe color since I think I could wear those the most. I want to get the most use out of them since they aren't particularly cheap boots! I might get another color if they go on major sale.. I'm thinking brown!
Last thing! Goodnight Macaroon is based overseas, and these shoes are made or order. It took about 3 weeks for my shoes to arrive, just a heads up!
I had a lot of questions about these boots before I ordered, so if you've been eyeing them and feel the same as I did, I hope this helped! Happy Saturday!
PS: I'm working on getting my everyday makeup tutorial uploaded to YouTube, and maybe IGTV if I can get that figured out. Videos are a whole different ball game! I'll let y'all know when I get it straight and posted.
Hey y'all
