It seems like just yesterday I placed 20+ orders within a 2-3 week time span (exaggerating.. kinda) all in the name of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, and it's already time for this mega sale again!
First of all, you can access this sale an entire week before the rest of the public if you have a Nordstrom card. If you don't have one, you can sign up here. If your application is accepted, you'll get the green light to shop the sale on July 12th! Whenever you use your Nordstrom card you get 2 points for every $1 spent, and those add up to $20 Nordstrom Notes. Sale prices go back up to normal on August 6th.
Why is this sale such a big deal? This is brand spanking new fall merchandise on immediate sale. Most items are 40% off! This is prime time to get fall staples and basics on sale!
This is also a good time to buy Nordstrom-Exclusive brands. My favorites are BP, Halogen, Caslon, Treasure & Bond, Zella, and Leith.
What am I looking for this year? (In a nutshell, moto jacket, teddy bear coat, booties, a good bag, & denim). Two things I regretted not getting last year is a teddy bear coat and a brown moto jacket. I got a blush pink moto jacket from BLANKNYC on the last anniversary sale, still love it and wear it, but a brown one would go with more and I could wear it more often. And teddy bear coats just look fantastically comfortable. I'm also definitely going to check out what Tory Burch bags are on sale and maybe a good pair of comfortable brown booties that would go with everything. I'm also looking for good denim. I love the brands BLANKNYC and Articles of Society, so I'll be searching those first!
My favorites from last year's sale are my nude Halogen mules, Kendra Scott jewelry, and BLANKNYC moto jacket. Such good quality things! From looking at the catalog, I can see Kendra Scott jewelry will be on sale again this year!
My advice: take an "inventory" of what you have and decide what you want/need for your fall & winter wardrobe. I look for basics and staple pieces like jeans, long sleeve tees, and sweaters. Also give yourself a spending limit! That way you don't have too much buyers remorse 😂
